Why would I need a Health eCard?
The Health eCard will give you easy and constant access to any allergies, past and present medication, test results and more. The Card gives you a clear overview of your medical information and empowers you to take your health in your hands. To access it, just plug your Health eCard into the USB port of any Windows PC (Windows XP or later) anywhere in the world and type in your secure pass phrase. It’s as simple as that!
What happens in an emergency?
Your Health eCard has an Emergency Access Area where selected critical information can be viewed. In case of emergency,this can be read by anyone, without your pass-phrase.
Where does the data come from?
We work in partnership with the GP practice. Your medical record as held by your GP is copied onto your Health eCard. After a GP consultation, it is easy to update your Health eCard at the Surgery.
How much will it cost me?
Get your Health eCard for a yearly subscription of £24. That’s £2 a month for total peace of mind when it comes to your medical records. You will have constant access to your medical information and 24/7 support via our helpline.
An additional one-off set-up fee will be charged, depending on the level of information you would like on your Card. Choose the plan which is best for you:
Plan 1
Full GP record, as held on your GP's system.
| Plan 2
All elements of Plan 1 plus the ability to print correspondence and most screens. With this Plan, you can also import ECGs obtained by you from hospitals or clinics. Includes a Secure Patient Diary area.
| Plan 3
All features of Plan 2 plus the ability to store digital images obtained by you from hospitals or clinics. Includes an integral dicom viewer so the images can be viewed on any PC. With this plan, you can also store copies of clinical letters obtained by you. |
